Athena - Office Manager

Athena moved from Long Island to Colorado in February 2020. If you listen closely, you can hear her NY accent when she talks about her favorite things… her dogs, the beach, and pizza! With over 15 years of customer service and management experience she is always happy to help her team and patients in any way she can. She has two adorable fur babies, Pirate and Hazel, and two amazing step-kids, Chase and Island, that keep her busy. When she’s not at work, you can find her at the local brewery, shopping for the latest fashion finds, curled up with a good book, or watching her not-so-guilty-pleasure reality TV shows on Bravo. She is also a self described beach bum, plant enthusiast, and amateur chef.

 

Betsy - Hygienist

A graduate of CU's dental hygiene program, Betsy has been practicing since 1999 and has worked with Dr. Chatterley since he began practicing in 2011. Whether she is hiking in the mountains, exploring farmer's markets around town, rocking a Zumba class, discovering new restaurants, or blowing off steam at a boxing gym, Betsy is always up for an adventure! Without a doubt, however, her favorite pastime is spending time with her daughter, Abby, who is currently a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy. It goes without saying that she can be found traveling to Annapolis every chance she gets to spend precious time with Abby.

 

Tanya - Hygienist

Tanya is a registered dental hygienist with over ten years of dental experience. In 2013, she first began her dental career with Mountain West Family Dental as an assistant. Tanya knew her true calling and, in 2019, elevated her level of education and reintroduced herself into a new role as a dental hygienist. Outside the office, Tanya has built a family with her husband, Tanner, and daughter, Everleigh, who was newly introduced to the world in 2022. They enjoy their two French bulldogs, Grizwold and Poppy. During the summer, Tanya and her family are often found camping in Colorado and Wyoming, where she split her upbringing. You can often find Tanya reading a new book, booking concert tickets, or hanging out at a local brewery. Tanya has also grown an affinity for seeking out the best neighborhood parks and enjoys rediscovering life through her daughter's eyes.

 

Alyssa - Hygienist

Alyssa was born and raised in Arkansas and moved to Colorado in 2019. She graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science then went on to graduate from Dental Hygiene School in Memphis, TN. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for nearly ten years. Her main focus is providing high-quality care to all of her patients while making them feel comfortable during their visit. Alyssa is certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide and is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association. When she is not with her work family, Alyssa enjoys exploring and traveling around Colorado with her husband, Brandon, and she is an avid Nuggets, Avalanche, and Razorback fan. She is also a dog mom to a precious mini bernedoodle named Belle. Alyssa is excited to have a career that she genuinely loves and is grateful to be working with such an amazing team at Mountain West Family Dental

 

Julissa - Assistant

Julissa is a Colorado native with a passion for dentistry that spans over four years. She is dedicated to listening to each patient’s unique needs and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit. With a caring and compassionate approach, Julissa strives to make every experience a positive one.

As the youngest of five siblings, Julissa comes from a large, close-knit family. She cherishes the time spent with her nieces and nephews and values the strong family bonds she shares. Outside of work, Julissa enjoys exploring the outdoors with her German Shepherd, Anna. They love taking long walks at City Park and embarking on scenic drives up to the mountains, where they can unwind and explore the beauty of Colorado together.

Mohan - Mascot

Mohan hails from Amish country in Pennsylvania before he was adopted  by Dr. Patel. What he lacks in work ethic he makes up in kindness and  kisses. He has lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, and now Colorado. He is a natural hiker but has an intense fear of bodies of water which  makes Colorado his dream home. You can catch him showing up to work on  some Fridays and will never deny pets from anyone.
